Mulberry Cottage B&B

“Australia’s most fascinating B&B”

The tariff not only includes breakfast but a very different and intriguing experience of history- the “brilliant” multi- award winning performance of “Turn the Key of Time” in Grannie Rhodes’ Cottage.

A new addition to Mulberry Cottage is the ‘Christmas Cottage’ consisting of a self contained accommodation cottage in a secluded sunny corner of the property “where it is Christmas all year round”. The cottage has the Chapel bedroom with extra-long queen bed, and can accommodate up to 6.

The B&B is situated in the beautiful Georgian village of Richmond. Your friendly host offers traditional B&B and cosy home-stay accommodation, with afternoon tea or a glass of wine on the terrace, in a garden nook or one of the two cosy sitting rooms.

Built in 2002, Mulberry Cottage is constructed from the reclaimed wall of Hobart’s Old Penitentiary! Furnished with antiques and collectibles, charming en-suite rooms can accommodate up to ten guests.

The cottage is very suitable for small groups. In the Garden Wing, the cheeky French Boudoir and the Old English Room both have en-suites, separate guests’ entrance and access to a small sunny sitting room with all facilities for tea and coffee and a microwave. There are two standard attic rooms upstairs in the main house.

Mulberry Cottage is a non smoking establishment. Off street parking is available. Packages are available with Europcar.
