CLARENCE JAZZ FESTIVAL CALENDAR OF EVENTS

The Clarence Jazz Festival is an annual event held at the end of February each year in beautiful outdoor, riverside and historic locations. Tasmania’s premier Jazz Festival, Clarence Jazz offers audiences great performances, unique locations and unrivalled good vibes.

The Festival presents the very best in local jazz talent and great performers from around Australia.

The intimate and unique atmosphere of the Jazz Lounge set in the 200 year old Rosny Barn is a favourite with the audiences.

The Festival begins in beautiful parks and gardens on the eastern shore of the River Derwent and culminates in three days and nights of concerts on the Bellerive Boardwalk overlooking the Kangaroo Bay marina.

Audiences at the Boardwalk love the fresh Tasmanian food prepared on site and bar serving local Tasmanian wines and beverages. On Saturday and Sunday free activities and crafts are provided for the children.

All venues are only 15 minutes from the Hobart CBD. Catch a bus or a water taxi.

All outdoor concerts are free while some concerts in the Jazz Lounge are ticketed.

ADMITTANCE IS JUST $5.00

The Richmond Village Concert on the Green Saturday 15 March 2020 from 5pm – 9pm entertainment by The Ranters. There will be many stalls set up in preparation for the Fair the following day so plenty of food and drink to purchase while enjoying the band.

The Richmond Village Fair on the Green Sunday 16 March 2020 from 10am until 4pm.
All the fun of the Fair, with stilt walkers, Punch and Judy, Children’s Games, Animals to pet, various stalls to browse, Food and Drinks, Grand Auction, Lucky Door Prizes, Train Rides, Entertainment by The Clarence City Band and The Cricpots. All the fun of the Fair packed into one day, not to be missed.

Historic Motorbike Show

Richmond Village Green

Shannons will bring some Historic Motorbikes to show on the Village Green – date and time to be confirmed

MARKETS ON EVERY MONTH:

Sorell Market: Held every Sunday morning from 9.00am during summer and every second Sunday during winter. The market is located on level ground, beside the Sorell Memorial Hall, near the towns centre. There is ample car parking and access for people with a disability.

Coal River Valley Farmers Markets: Held on 2^nd Sunday of every month at the Flour Mill Park Campania from 10.00am to 3.00pm.

St John’s Church Book Sales: Held on the last Sunday of every month in the Old School Room behind the Church. Browse through the large variety of second-hand books, videos & dvd’s, you can also enjoy a free cup of tea with Sue. From 12.00noon until 1.00pm.

CHURCH SERVICES EACH SUNDAY:

St John’s Catholic Church: Services are held on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month at 8.30am and on the 2nd, 4th and 5th Sundays of the month at 11am. Contact: Father Terry Rush 03 6260 2189.

St Luke’s Anglican Church: Services are held 2nd Sundays of the month at 11.00am for Holy Communion. 4th Sundays of the month at 11.00am Morning Prayer. Every Sunday Evensong at 6.30pm Contact: Rev. Jill McCoy 03 6265 2445.

Congregational Church Richmond: Services are held every Sunday at 4pm. Contact: Lex Grant 03 6229 2295.
